About The Role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Clerk to join our dynamic Collections Operations Ont team.

The Collections Operations Ont is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day . In this role, you will be responsible for clerical work under the supervision of the manager. You will adhere to all current operating procedures and practice good judgment in the performance of job responsibilities while promoting the Centre’s objectives through good interpersonal skills.

Formula for success

  • Drawing on your experience, you will support the apheresis program by scheduling and tracking donor appointments.
  • Leveraging your excellent customer service skills, you will manage the mail system (including bulk mail), open and distribute incoming mail, and perform other receptionist duties.
  • You will maintain records, requisition supplies, and report faulty equipment or materials as needed.
  • Utilizing your strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will coordinate, complete, and update work assignments, attendance records, and staffing / volunteer schedules.
  • You may also be assigned other department-related tasks and duties as required.

Desired education and skills

  • Completion of Grade 12 with business-related subjects, along with a minimum of two years of relevant office experience.
  • Proficient keyboarding and computer skills, with experience in word processing and spreadsheet software; ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels and provide professional service to the public.
