Clerical Support - SecurTek Central Station Attendant

Location: Yorkton, SK
Number of Positions: 2
Salary: $25.98 - 30.80/hour (based on education and experience)
Type of Position: Casual Part-Time
Closing Date: 05/15/2025

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for interpreting and responding to alarm signals through automation software. Follows established procedures and instructions for responding to alarms and contacting customers and emergency services. Ensures accurate data entry and completes internal processes to deliver excellent customer service.

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Responds to priority alarm signals for Residential and Commercial customers following specific procedures.
  2. Dispatches police, security, fire, and ambulance services.
  3. Provides assistance during emergency situations such as Medical Alerts and Lone Worker alarms.
  4. Records actions taken during inquiries, system tests, and emergencies in appropriate databases.
  5. Handles inquiries from customers, co-workers, dealers, contractors, and agencies, focusing on quality service.
  6. Provides customer service during varying activity levels.
  7. Confirms instructions and procedures with relevant parties.
  8. Performs data entry and administrative duties as needed.
  9. Maintains awareness of the environment and prioritizes functions accordingly.
  10. Participates as a team member and provides leadership when necessary.
  11. Assists with monitoring station projects such as data maintenance.
  12. Provides first-level technical support by troubleshooting customer issues.
  13. Meets productivity goals for alarm and call handling.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Knowledge of security products and services.
  2. Proficiency with personal computers and software applications.
  3. Ability to handle customer contacts tactfully and courteously.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Keyboarding speed of 20 wpm.

This is an on-site position at the specified location. Candidates must reside in Saskatchewan or be willing to relocate. Flexible work options within the province may be available.
