Job summary

Vestis Corporation in Oakville, Ontario, is hiring a Cleanroom Laundry Operator for our Oakville cleanroom facility. You will fold, inspect and package uniforms in a cleanroom environment and ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include staging garments, verifying quantities, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Prior industrial laundry or production experience is preferred; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long shifts is required.

• Store bundles in correct bins, carts or shelves.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow PPE rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Canadian Linen/Vestis is looking for a Cleanroom Laundry Operator for their cleanroom facility in Oakville. The position requires the candidate to fold, inspect and package uniforms in a Cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Fold, inspect and package uniforms.
• Stages cart and loads garments on to cleanroom table.
• Inspects and folds cleanroom garments.
• Identifies and segregates merchandise not meeting specified quality standards in terms of rips, tears, holes, and stains; Accurately verifies merchandise quantity and bundles by type.
• Places bundles in correct storage bins, carts, or shelves.
• Maneuvers full and empty baskets; Maintains a safe and clean work environment and observes best practices in all production activities.
• Wears Clean Room Uniform, goggles, gloves, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work assigned shift- attendance is required
• Basic math reasoning skills
• Lifting Ability: up to 25-50 pounds continuously; Push/Pull Ability: up to 150 pounds assisted
• Able to Stand/Walk/Sit for 8-10 hours a day
• Capability to work in a fast-paced work environment that may have fluctuating temperatures and loud noise levels while working with machinery in a safe and conscientious manner
• Must be able to adhere to safety standards

Experience

• Prior experience in an industrial laundry or production environment preferred
• Capability of understanding work instructions in English preferred
