Job summary

Canadian Linen/Vestis in Oakville is seeking a Cleanroom Laundry Operator to fold, inspect and package uniforms in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities include staging carts, loading garments onto a cleanroom table, inspecting and folding garments, and ensuring bundles by type while maintaining a safe, clean workspace. PPE such as cleanroom uniforms, goggles and gloves are required.

Qualifications

• Shift work with attendance required.
• Basic math reasoning.
• Lifting up to 25–50 pounds continuously; push/pull up to 150 pounds with assistance.
• Stand/Walk/Sit for 8–10 hours daily.
• Experience in industrial laundry or production environment preferred.
• English comprehension or instruction preferred.

• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Fold, inspect and package uniforms.
• Stages cart and loads garments on to cleanroom table.
• Inspects and folds cleanroom garments.
• Identifies and segregates merchandise not meeting specified quality standards in terms of rips, tears, holes, and stains; Accurately verifies merchandise quantity and bundles by type.
• Places bundles in correct storage bins, carts, or shelves.
• Maneuvers full and empty baskets; Maintains a safe and clean work environment and observes best practices in all production activities.
• Wears Clean Room Uniform, goggles, gloves, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work assigned shift- attendance is required
• Basic math reasoning skills
• Lifting Ability: up to 25-50 pounds continuously; Push/Pull Ability: up to 150 pounds assisted
• Able to Stand/Walk/Sit for 8-10 hours a day
• Capability to work in a fast-paced work environment that may have fluctuating temperatures and loud
  noise levels while working with machinery in a safe and conscientious manner
• Must be able to adhere to safety standards

Experience

• Prior experience in an industrial laundry or production environment preferred
