Job description

Actual Salary £11,424- £12,232 per annum

We are currently recruiting a Cleaning Assistant to help maintain our beautiful school and ensure the school environment is welcoming, clean, well maintained, safe and secure. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, reliable, organised and hardworking.

Duties will include :

  • Assist with Cleaning, clearing, and litter picking of external areas, emptying bins, ensuring the site is clean, safe and well presented
  • Regular inspection of staff and student toilets and cleaning of staffroom ensuring replenishment of consumables
  • On occasion moving furniture and deliveries
  • Carry out emergency cleaning, graffiti and chewing gum removal, including bodily fluids
  • Assist with health and safety checks

Candidates should :

  • Flexible, hard-working efficient and highly organised
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements would be advantageous
  • Show initiative and be prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ when necessary
  • Ability to use range of tools, move and lift heavy and bulky objects
