Job summary

BEST Service Pros in Vancouver, BC is seeking a custodian to maintain clean and inviting common areas, washrooms, kitchens, and entryways. You will mop, sweep, wipe surfaces, and ensure sanitation standards are met.

Casual shift with morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight options; wage is $21.30 per hour. The role emphasizes reliability, ability to follow safety procedures, and contribute to a welcoming environment for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
• Ability to read and understand labels and instructions.
• Previous custodial experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, auditoriums, washrooms, kitchen, dining areas, halls, entrances/exits, reception areas and more.
• Ensure proper sanitization and disinfection procedures are followed.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Ensure garbage disposal in proper bins.
• Clean all dry and wet spills throughout facility as required.
• Maintain and secure storage areas, cleaning equipment and materials in an orderly manner.
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages.
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs.
• Report damage and acts of vandalism.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Overview:

You will be responsible for making sure your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down glass and other surfaces.
