Job description

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities : (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

At this time, we are looking for a self-motivated, hardworking Cleaner to join us at Parkside Drive & Greenfields Court in Fredericton, NB. This role is full-time hours, based on 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some flexibility. If you enjoy interacting with others, are passionate about providing a clean and safe environment for residents, and take pride in a job well done, this may be the role for you!

What you will do :

  • Operate vacuum cleaners to remove dirt and other waste;
  • Wash windows and interior walls;
  • Pick up garbage;
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers;
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs;
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas;
  • Report deficiencies to Property Manager for repair;
  • Other duties as required.

Who you are :

  • Previous experience in a similar role and / or customer service role is considered an asset;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Able to work independently;
