SALARY : $23.61 - $26.23 / hour (Increases set out as per the collective agreement. Full rate effective after 1 year of service)

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT :

The Cleaner will provide ongoing cleaning / labour services to the division in a safe and efficient manner.

MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Cleaning / washing of railway equipment coaches parts and shop facilities
• Adapts to new methods processes material and equipment
• Follows prescribed safety procedures including the use of safety clothing and equipment
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Current shift schedule is : Tuesday - Friday 12 : 00 a.m. to 8 : 00 a.m. & Saturday 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Secondary School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
• Previous cleaning and / or labour experience
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work various shifts (including weekends and over night) and some work outdoors in adverse weather (24-hour operation)
• Must be committed to Company Health and Safety
