Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a Cleaner to join our Quebec operations. The role involves cleaning and housekeeping across multiple spaces, with specialized tasks, inventory management, and floor care including stripping and waxing.

You will support a safe, presentable environment for staff and participants at our Montreal and Laval sites. Requirements include a High School Diploma, 3 years of related cleaning experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and fluency in French with English reading abilities for

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean walls, doors, and furnishings, including windows and frames.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, offices, and participant areas.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste per procedures.
• Perform specialized cleaning tasks (e.g., White room).
• Strip, wax, and polish floors and clean lockers and related areas.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Report irregularities to supervisor and take corrective action.

About The Role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Cleaning, the Cleaner performs cleaning andhousekeeping duties. The Cleaner will ensure that all spaces are clean, safe,and presentable, contributing to a comfortable environment for staff, visitors,and participants. The Cleaner will also perform specialized cleanings, inventorymanagement, floor stripping and waxing as well as other relevant tasks asassigned by management.

What You'll Do Here

• Wash and clean walls, doors, and furnishings, including interior and exterior windowpanes, partitions, windowsills, blinds, elevators, and picture frames.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, offices, and participant areas, andcommon areas.
• Clean refrigerators, freezers, countertops, sinks, and related surfaces.
• Perform specialized cleaning tasks requiring specific training (e.g. White room, Hep-C, etc).
• Empty trash and dispose of waste in accordance with procedures.
• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer.
• Unclog sinks and toilets using approved products and tools. As required by location.
• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and staircases.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets as required.
• Strip, wax, and polish floors.
• Inspect, clean, and wash lockers, locker rooms, and related areas.
• Remove debris and clean rooms that have been damaged or heavily soiled.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties, including spring cleaning and maintenance-related cleaning.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and consumables.
• Participate in training and orientation of new staff members.
• Handle, carry, and properly use cleaning equipment, tools, and materials.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and cleanliness of assigned work areas.
• Report irregularities, defects, hazards, or maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and take corrective action when appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
