Class Action Administration Support Officer

Overview

At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.

As part of its class action management service, KPMG carries out engagements acting as settlement administrator for class actions of all scales. This role involves managing incoming claims, assessing claims, and related administrative tasks.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team providing front-line exposure to the operational intricacies of a complex project.

What You Will Do

We are looking for candidates with a diploma of postsecondary studies (DEC, DEP or equivalent) or an undergraduate degree from various fields to join the team.

The work involves:

  • Processing claims received by mail, email, and via a dedicated website.
  • Opening mail, scanning documents, manually entering data into a portal.
  • Monitoring and sorting emails, responding to inquiries as needed.
  • Organizing documents, verifying documentation, and claims assessment using a platform.
  • Escalating complex claims for further assessment.
  • Testing updates or new features of portals or tools.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, and ensuring communication with claimants.
  • Delivering high-quality, timely work that meets standards.
What You Bring To The Role
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, good judgment.
  • Comfort with technological tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, claims software).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including with vulnerable individuals.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving and initiative.
  • Ability to maintain a steady work pace.
  • Experience in insurance claims review is an asset.
