Job description

Operate a commercial vehicle to transport products between two local destinations while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Deliver frozen and/or refrigerated freight to and from local locations.
2. Provide excellent customer service to our customers while delivering quality products to each location and/or store.
3. Maintain schedule to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery. Read out the digital tachograph timely. Account for and inspect freight to prevent rejection or potential claim issues. Check the loading temperature and monitor it during transport. Ensure accuracy of paperwork with the delivery and that all requirements are met in coordination with the dispatch and operations departments.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs for hours of service and equipment maintenance.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

1. 2 years’ experience operating a Class A commercial vehicle.
2. Valid license(s) for commercial/professional drivers.
3. Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
4. Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
5. May be required to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs; weight may be more depending on the facility.
6. Ability to work a flexible schedule and shifts, including weekends if needed.
7. Comfortable with various noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Pay Range: $29.28 - $45.77
