Job summary

Kent Building Supplies is seeking a truck driver to join our delivery team in Canada. You will deliver materials to homes, construction sites, and customers, while maintaining safety and excellent service standards.

You will assist in the lumber yard, warehouse, and store, load and unload products, and coordinate with dispatch to resolve issues. The role requires a proven delivery driver background, the ability to work in all weather, and a valid license.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Proven delivery driver experience.
• Valid driver’s license (Class #).
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Self-motivated, punctual, reliable, and safety oriented.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/French is an asset.
• Basic hand tool skills.
• Able to do physical work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to private homes, construction sites and stores safely.
• Assist customers in the lumber yard, warehouse, and inside the store.
• Load and unload product as required.
• Prepare trucks for loading and coordinate with warehouse staff.
• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and safety.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and resolve issues.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Report defects, violations, accidents, or injuries.
• Maintain professional behavior and follow safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job description

As a Truck Driver, you will be part of the team that provides delivery services for our customers, displaying the highest standards of safety and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for monitoring truck maintenance and keeping driver records such as daily check list. This job can be physically demanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to private homes and construction sites safely – Materials include Windows and doors, Cement, Shingles, and other building materials.
• Work in the lumber yard, warehouse and inside the store actively helping customers
• Load and unload product
• Prepare trucks for loading and assist warehouse staff as required
• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and safety
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve any issues
• Verify load security and accuracy
• Report defects, violations, accidents, or injuries
• Maintain a professional behavior
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 55lbs
• Proven work experience as a delivery driver
• Valid driver’s license class #
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, fast‑paced, and dynamic workplace
• Self‑motivated, punctual, reliable, and safety oriented
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Effective written and oral communication skills (Bilingual English/French will be considered an asset)
• Basic hand tool skills
• Must have Safety mindset
• Able to do physical work
