A leading company in the agriculture sector is looking for a diligent Class 3A candidate to handle material movement and local deliveries. This role requires adherence to safety standards and strong organizational skills, as well as effective customer interaction. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in delivery and warehouse operations, along with a current Class 3A license and necessary endorsements.
We are seeking a safety-minded, diligent, organized, and hard-working Class 3A candidate responsible for material movement and local delivery of chemicals, fertilizers, and seeds for a central distribution warehouse. Warehouse duties, including all related functions, are also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role involves driving, delivery, and warehouse duties, including physical movement of products.
Adhere to all legal and safety procedures.
Manage safe, professional, and efficient deliveries to customers, involving high levels of customer interaction for scheduling and delivery coordination.
Ensure all tools and equipment are functioning properly.
Verify that orders are correct, safely loaded, and ready for delivery.
Operate equipment safely, including box trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks (manual and electric).
Coordinate shipment and delivery paperwork, including handling returns.
Complete regular safety and quality audits.
Comply with driver and warehouse rules, regulations, and company policies.
Collect and verify delivery instructions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Current Class 3A license with a clean driving record.
Current TDG and WHMIS endorsements or ability to obtain them.
At least 5 years of experience in product delivery and distribution.
Experience working in a warehouse environment.
Proven experience managing direct-to-customer deliveries (Final Mile).
Knowledge of safety and legal documentation processes (MSDS, Equipment checklist, BOL).
Strong leadership and administrative skills.
Effective time management, crisis resolution, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to coordinate with internal and external teams.
Availability to work occasional weekend shifts during peak seasons.
Pass DOT drug/alcohol and physical tests.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification on equipment (forklift, etc.) or ability to obtain.
Understanding of WMS systems.
Class 1A license.
Ability to handle equipment safely and knowledge of truck driving regulations.
Adaptability to handle unexpected situations like traffic or weather issues.
