Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving experience with Class 3A license required.
  • 2+ years of warehousing experience or equivalent preferred.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Driver/Warehouse employee, you will contribute to the success of FBN by playing a critical role in the order fulfillment and delivery of FBN products to customers. You will be required to ensure the accuracy of the orders, trip planning, completing paperwork, complying with health and safety rules and regulations and acting as an ambassador for FBN.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and document checks.
  • Report all incidents and accidents, violations or safety concerns to management.
  • Coordinate with the load planner, the loading and unloading sequence for daily deliveries.
  • Verify all product, labels, documentation and weights for your load.
  • Load and unload trailers according to the trip plan.
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with all safety requirements, and follow all processes and procedures for the transportation of dangerous goods, including placards when applicable.
  • Operates vehicles in accordance with FBN safety policies, rules and regulations.
  • Be in compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) as well as local, provincial and federal laws.
  • Assist customers with off loading or loading in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ensure all BOLs are signed and in order, as proof of delivery and returned to administration for processing.
  • Practice good housekeeping by following all cleaning procedures for assigned vehicles, equipment, yard and the facility.
  • Warehouse duties as required, Order processing, Inventory Cycle Counts, Receiving.
  • Comply with all warehouse rules/regulations and with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years Minimum Class 3 with air, Class 1 preferred. (Compensation to be aligned)
  • CDL license with DG endorsement an asset.
  • Customer service focused (Farmers First).
  • Rural driving experience is an asset.
  • 2+ years warehousing (or equivalent) experience.
  • Some understanding of provincial and local health & safety regulations regarding the handling and transportation of agricultural products.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Attention to detail, reliable and punctual.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements can change frequently.
  • Safety First mindset.
  • Able to work outside in variable temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
  • High level interpersonal and relationship building skills, customer focused.
  • Forklift experience (preferred).
  • Skid Steer Certified (preferred).
  • Prior TDG and WHMIS Certification an asset.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
