Job description

Safety-Kleen is looking for a Sales and Service Route Driver (SSR) to join their safety conscious team in Fort McMurray! As an SSR, you will not only be responsible for safely operating a box truck for daily waste pickup and delivery services at a variety of client sites, but will also be required to up-sell, cross sell and generate new sales leads for SK products and services. You will drive our mission of sustainability by providing excellent service to our customers while promoting and delivering Safety-Kleen products and services.


Responsibilities:

  1. Drive box truck to different customer sites – picking up waste and dropping off to disposal facility.
  2. Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups in a timely manner.
  3. Upsell products/services and generate new sales leads.
  4. Complete all required documentation and labeling.
  5. Work with route drivers to convert new sales opportunities.
  6. Grow the current customer base with new lines of business.
  7. Prepare and deliver customer quotes.
  8. Prospect and convert leads to customers.
  9. Achieve monthly sales targets.
  10. Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Must reside local to Fort McMurray & have a valid Class 3 license.
  2. 2+ years of B2B sales/customer service experience.
  3. Environmental/Hazardous waste experience highly preferred.
  4. Tenacious, assertive, strong organizational skills and a hunter mentality.
  5. Proven ability to develop a book of business.
  6. Familiarity with CRM programs.
  7. Ability to be on the road 3-4 days per week, with potential for overnights as needed.
