Birch Mountain Enterprises LP in Fort McKay, Alberta seeks an experienced Class 3 Operator to safely operate Water, Sewer, Vacuum, and Tanker units in varied weather. TDG knowledge is required; mechanical aptitude and fitness are essential.

Fort McKay shop base with preference for industrial-sector experience. Requirements include a valid Class 3 license with a clean abstract and at least 3 years of manual transmission experience, plus related fluid-hauling experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Class 3 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
• Minimum 3 years experience including up to 18 speed manual Class 1 or 3 equipment.
• Previous or related experience operating Water, Vacuum, Hydro or ComboVac units.
• Minedrive experience is an asset.
• Must pass driver’s evaluation, drug and alcohol and fit for duty pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate several types of units (Water, sewer, Vacuum, Tanker) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow instructions from Dispatch or Supervisor and complete daily documentation.
• Perform daily housekeeping of assigned truck and participate in toolbox and safety meetings.
• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to required standards and procedures.
• Ensure training is kept current and comply with TDG and WHMIS standards.

OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification
