Star Building Materials Edmonton is seeking a Class 3 Driver to deliver building materials to customer homes or construction sites. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will load, transport, and unload materials manually, while maintaining excellent service.

This role requires a valid Class 3 licence, a safe driving record, physical capability to lift up to 85 lbs, and a collaborative approach to support forklift operators and uphold safety standards on every route.

Formación

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 months of relevant delivery/crane experience.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Valid Class 3 driver's licence and a satisfactory commercial driver's abstract.
• Attention to detail, good hand/eye coordination and situational awareness of physical work environment.
• Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 85 lbs. without the assistance of mobile or powered equipment.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, as the Class 3 Driver you are responsible for delivering building materials to customer homes or construction sites. The Truck Driver loads, transports and unloads materials manually.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

• Providing excellent customer service to all customers as a representative of the company.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with building materials is good to have.
• "Q" Air Brake endorsement is preferred.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred.
• Ability to maneuver a trailer is a strong asset.
• Crane experience is an asset.
• Experience with rigging and load securement is an asset.

Work Conditions

You primarily work outdoors on job sites during regular business hours. Work is mobile with exposure to potential accidents or occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather, heights, dust and noise. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.
