Class 3 Driver - Microbulk (Full Time) - Vancouver, BC (Starting Salary $72,455 Yearly)

Purpose:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the delivery of liquid Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Liquid Argon and Liquid Nitrogen to vessels throughout British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of liquid Carbon Dioxide (CO2) to scheduled customers using a tandem axle tanker. This includes daily loading of the tanker from bulk facility.
  2. Delivery of Argon (Ar) to scheduled customers.
  3. Delivery of Nitrogen (N2) to scheduled customers.
  4. Follow operating and safety procedures while completing the assigned tasks.
  5. Conduct pre and post trip inspections.
  6. Maintain driver logs on the truck’s OBC (ELD).
  7. Complete and maintain all required training as assigned.
  8. Complete daily delivery logs and other necessary reports.
  9. Complete monthly credit card reconciliations as well as any other necessary reports in a timely manner.

Minimum job related qualifications:

  1. Valid, incident free, applicable provincial Class 3 or Class 1 Driver's License with air brake endorsement.
  2. Minimum 2 years of Class 3 driving experience & a commercial tanker driving experience.
  3. Strong aptitude for delivery technology (handheld computers, E-Logs).
  4. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  5. Experience in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) considered an asset.
  6. City driving experience in tight quarters.
  7. Safety First mentality. Remain attentive in hazard recognition.

Other Considerations:

  1. Self motivated and organized individual, capable of working with minimum supervision.
  2. Team player who has a strong customer and safety focus and works well with contractors.
  3. Knowledge of fountain and draught beverage systems.
  4. Have a strong commitment toward safety.
  5. Must have basic computer & mobile device skills for email.
  6. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand gas systems would be an asset.
