Class 3 Driver - Microbulk (Full Time) - Vancouver, BC (Starting Salary $76,960 Yearly)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Small order dry ice deliveries: Driving a 1-ton cube van, to complete local Vancouver-area deliveries. This responsibility represents roughly 60% of the daily work requirement.
  2. Order preparation/Dry Ice Processing: You will be responsible for shovelling dry ice nuggets into various sized packages ranging from 10 lbs to 50 lbs, to be loaded onto your 1-ton truck for local delivery around Vancouver. Upon the completion of your delivery route each day, you will assist the Dry Ice Processing team with cutting dry ice on a bandsaw and packing the cut ice for delivery. This responsibility represents roughly 30% of the average daily work requirement.
  3. Vacation Relief Driving: For 4 weeks per year, you will provide vacation relief for our Class 3 Driver. This will involve both local deliveries, as well as a daily pick up in Washington State. You will need to be in good standing as a DOT driver for this daily cross-border pick up.

Minimum job related qualifications:

  • Valid, incident free, Class 3 Driver's License with air brake endorsement.

Skills and Experience:

  • Class 3 driver’s license required with a minimum of 2 years of Class 3 driving experience.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Team player who has a strong focus on customer & safety.
  • Experience in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) considered an asset.
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Self-motivated individual, capable of working with minimum supervision.
  • Required annual Drug & Alcohol tests to meet customer access requirements.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
