Location: Powell River/qathet Regional District

Salary Or Wage: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

• Valid class 3 driver’s license with a clean driver abstract
• Ability to follow a firm work schedule
• Willingness to work respectfully in a team environment in a safe and responsible manner
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that daily schedules are correctly completed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service focused, positivity an asset
• Physically able to lift 20-70lbs
• Proven ability to multi task & prioritize time
• Previous experience working in the waste & recycling or bin rental delivery industry preferred
• Working safely is a condition of employment

List of Duties

• Drive Truck in a safe and efficient manner on assigned routes
• Responsible for daily pre- and post trip inspections
• Check in with dispatcher to determine start and end times
• Load and unload bins or materials under varying traffic and road conditions
• Maintain telephone or radio contact to receive delivery instructions
• Sunshine Disposal & Recycling is a Powell River based garbage collection, recycling and bin rental company providing service to commercial, residential and rural customers proudly for over 30 years.
