Job description

Fixed term employment opportunity! We are seekingTWO Class 2 Drivers to join our distribution network based from our depot at St Columb Major, Cornwall. As a dedicated member of the Distribution team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and timely while maintaining St Austell Brewery's fantastic reputation across the South West.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the lorry for delivery and accurately verifying the contents of inventory loads against load sheet documents.
  • Reviewing all delivery instructions to support service standards
  • Completing all documentation promptly and accurately as required
  • Ensuring that the vehicle is loaded safely according to the load document
  • Delivering stock in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensuring that all legislation relating to driving is complied with, including a tacho card
  • Ensuring the vehicle is safe and legal for the road by undertaking and logging routine checks of lights, tyres, oil, water, etc.

About you:

  • Appropriate level of driving licence for the vehicle, and a driver’s tachograph card.
  • Relevant driving experience.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment with a commercial outlook.
  • You will be delivering kegs with an average weight of 63kg meaning manual handling experience is preferable as the movement of heavy goods must be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner.

Additional Info:

Full time hours - 45 hours pw, working Monday - Friday. Start time is 6am.
