Job summary

Kibbi in Canada is seeking a truck driver to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, load and unload goods, and perform routine vehicle inspections. This on-site role requires English language skills and a valid driver's license (Class 1 or A). Training is provided with no prior experience required.

Responsibilities include brake adjustments, roadside repairs, and maintaining cargo records, fuel use and hours of service. On-site work at the physical location is mandatory.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• Driver's license (Class 1 or A) required.
• No experience is required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
