Job summary

Cascadia Metals is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver in Canada. The successful candidate will be a driven team member, share our champion's mindset and values, and perform hands-on tasks while supporting during shifts.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, transporting metal products, vehicle maintenance, and accurate logging. Daily routes only, no overnights; steel-toe boots required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in trucking or metal transport.
• Class 1 license with Air Brake certification.
• Clean driver abstract required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Strong problem solving & decision making.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Attention to detail and basic computer skills.
• Time management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations within your job function.
• Ensure product integrity during transit.
• Clean and maintain your company vehicle.
• Represent Cascadia Metals to our customers.
• Effectively problem solve any day-to-day issues.
• Communicate with stakeholders and team members in a professional manner.
• Must be able to fill out standard drivers' daily logbooks.
• Filling out paperwork for incoming/outgoing materials.
• Safety Protocols (Pre-trip Inspections).
• Daily trips only – No overnight trips.
• Shipping/receiving, loading/unloading trucks.
• The equipment in it and the general maintenance of the property.

• Automatic Western Star Day cab with 48 ft step deck
• Hauling and tarping sheet metal skids coils and pipe.
• 10-year drivers abstract needed when applying
• Class 1 license with Air Brake certification
• Provide a clean driver abstract
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Strong decision making & problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Attention to detail and basic computer skills.
