Job summary

Westcan Bulk Transport is seeking an Independent Contractor Class 1 Driver to join our team for highway fuel deliveries across Saskatchewan and Alberta. The role focuses on client-ready service with a well-maintained tractor, stability controls, and competitive kilometer rates.

The position requires a Class 1/AZ licence with 2+ years of highway experience; tanker and bulk cargo experience are valued. 5 on, 2 off shifts are typical, with nights and long-haul opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• Class 1/AZ licence required.
• Minimum of two years of highway driving experience.
• Experience with tanker and bulk liquid/dry cargo is an asset.
• Ability to chain up tires when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an Independent Contractor (Owner Operator) delivering retail fuel.
• Haul cargo across Saskatchewan and Alberta on highway routes.

We are seeking Independent Contractors (Professional Class 1Drivers) to join our team, with a focus on highway retail fuel.

About the position:

• Product: Retail Fuel
• Work Schedule Highlights: 5 on, 2 off schedule, with days off during the week. Must be willing to stay in tractor for entire shift
• Primarily hauling throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta

What are we looking for?

• Class 1/AZ licence with a minimum of two years of recent highway experience. Seven- or eight-axle driving experience preferred
• Super B, tanker, and off-road experience are strong assets. Candidates must complete an on-site drug and alcohol screen, a job abilities assessment, and a company-paid criminal record search
• Liquid or dry bulk commodity experience is an asset
• Ability to chain up tires where necessary
• A well-maintained, heavy-spec tractor equipped with stability control and no older than a 2021 model (subject to approval)
