Job summary

XTL Transport Inc. is seeking Class 1 Part-Time Domestic Drivers to join our Airdrie team. This role covers Alberta regional runs and occasional overnight assignments, with strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

We offer paid training, opportunities for advancement, and a pathway to full-time roles based on seniority. Applicants must meet all driver qualifications and enjoy working Sundays when required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
• Minimum 2 years of long-haul experience (Canada-wide or Canada/U.S.).
• Experience driving through at least two consecutive winter seasons.
• Reefer experience.
• Clean Driver’s Abstract: zero moving violations, fewer than 5 demerits, 10-year commercial abstract from all provinces.

Responsibilities

• Drive Alberta regional runs (Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat) and overnight routes.
• Maintain a safe driving record and comply with company policies.
• Attend paid training: 3 days in-class + 2 days in-cab, orientation starts Monday 9am.
• Commit to working every Sunday when needed.
• Support and contribute to a team-focused culture.

The Opportunity

XTL Transport Inc. is currently GROWING and we are seeking Class 1 Part-Time Domestic Drivers to join our Airdrie team.

This role involves:

• Sunday evening loads within Alberta delivering throughout the night to Costco afterhours.

Please note: These positions will lead into full-time opportunities as they become available in order of Seniority.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
• Minimum 2 years of long-haul experience (Canada-wide or Canada/U.S.)
• Experience driving through at least two consecutive winter seasons
• Reefer experience
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Zero moving violations (e.g., speeding)
  • Fewer than 5 demerits
  • Ability to provide a 10-year commercial abstract from all provinces where a Class 1 license has been held
• MUST Committo working every Sunday when needed

Compensation

• $28.12/hour for Alberta regional runs (Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, etc.)

• $0.54 per mile for Grande Prairie & Saskatoon overnight runs (If you want to help with these overnight loads)

• Weekly pay via payroll

• Paid wait time (hourly rate)

• Fully paid training:

  • 3 days in-class + 2days in-cab
  • Must be available to attend all 5 consecutivedays of training (Monday to Friday) Orientation starts at 9am Monday to Wednesday and in Cab training start times will be dependent on the Mentors schedules.
