Job summary

Midland Transport in Kentville, NS is hiring a Class 1 Tractor P&D Driver. The successful candidate will provide safe, reliable service to our customers, maintain a positive attitude, and uphold a strong work ethic.

Shift Mon-Fri, 10:00–20:00, with a competitive hourly rate of $26.00/hr and quarterly safety and fuel bonuses. Benefits include health, drug, dental, vision, RRSP matching, paid uniforms, ongoing training, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of safe tractor driving experience.
• Class 1 driver's license.
• Clean driving abstract and criminal background search.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to provide Superior Quality Service
• Safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, reliable, professional service to customers.
• Work with variable shipment weight and freight handling equipment.
• Process daily pickup and delivery records.
• Pre-trip inspections of all units.
• Scheduled activity based on daily shipment volumes and customer demand.
• Drive, use equipment and work in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Class 1 Tractor P&D Driverbased in Kentville, NS. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic and great and positive attitude with a commitment to provide a Superior Quality service.

Main Role

Manage time, pick, receive packages, and ensure accurate and timely delivery service to our client’s customer base. Enthusiastic, great attitude and exceptional customer service skills are a must to join the team.

Shift Monday - Friday, 10:00 - 20:00.
