Job summary

Edge Transportation specializes in flat deck, heavy haul and over-dimensional freight service across North America. We also offer drayage and intermodal shipping, moving containers between rail yards, ports and warehouses. We are growing and seeking experienced class 1 Owner Operators for triaxle/tandem flat deck work.

You can be located in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg or Vancouver with open dispatch across SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB.

Qualifications

• Class 1A Driver's License with minimum 2 years highway driving experience.
• 1 year flat/step deck experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Willing to run on open dispatch; clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions.

Responsibilities

• Operate flat deck/tri-axle/tandem loads across SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB.
• Maintain safety and compliance with dispatch instructions.
• Coordinate with dispatch team for timely deliveries.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, secured and unloaded safely and efficiently.

Edge Transportation specializes in flat deck, heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs, experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.
In addition, we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance, an essential part of intermodal shipping.
We take containers in and out of warehouses, rail terminals, ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there, the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.

Edge Transport is growing and currently looking to recruit experienced class 1 Owner Operators for triaxle/tandem flat deck work. You can be located in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg or Vancouver. This role is open dispatch and you will run through SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB.
