Edge Transportation Services Ltd. is seeking drivers for an open dispatch role operating coast to coast across North America. The position emphasizes ownership of routes with support from an experienced team.

We offer pathways for drivers to own their own truck through our PowerLease-style program, flexible financing, and access to Edge-owned trucks for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Class 1A license required with minimum 2 years highway driving experience.
• At least 1 year flat/step deck experience.
• Willing to run open dispatch coast-to-coast.
• Must have clean driver’s abstract and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage open coast-to-coast dispatch operations for multiple drivers.
• Coordinate freight movement, timelines and customer expectations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.
• Communicate status updates and exceptions to clients and drivers.

Job description

Edge Transportation Services Ltd. specializes in flat deck, heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs, experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.

In addition, we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance, an essential part of intermodal shipping.

We take containers in and out of warehouses, rail terminals, ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there, the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.

Edge Transportation is growing and we're helping qualified drivers become Owner Operators through our PowerLease Program.

What You Bring
