Job Description

CEDA is seeking a Driver / Operator with Class 1 or 3 license for our Pressure and Vacuum division at the Calgary / Carseland, AB location.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

• Operate and maintain vacuum trucks, high-pressure water equipment, and specialty tools
• Spend approximately 90% of the day outdoors, on the ground
• Work safely at heights up to 100 meters
• Climb into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment
• Ensure safety for all team members and property
• Follow supervision and work as part of a team
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Learn and rig in/out specialty equipment daily
• Complete required paperwork and safety documentation
• Maintain attention to detail and perform tasks safely and correctly
• Provide guidance to Laborers as needed
• Enforce all safety protocols and requirements

Qualifications :

• Valid Class 1 or 3 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
• Experience driving manual transmissions (10 or 13-speed) and passing CEDA’s driver assessment
• At least 1 year of operator experience in an industrial setting (pressure and vacuum experience is an asset)
• Certifications: CSTS-09, BSO or CSO required
• Additional certifications such as Confined Space, Fall Protection, and First Aid are assets but not mandatory; training provided
• H2S Alive certification is an asset
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to travel to the shop location in Carseland
