Job summary

Manitoulin Transport is seeking a Class 1 Local Pick up & Delivery Driver based in Hinton, AB. The role involves timely freight delivery and pickup within the Hinton and Jasper area, with a Tuesday–Saturday shift and early start times.

You will perform pre- and post-trip checks and operate GPS to navigate the local routes. The position offers home nightly, roughly 9–10 hours per day, and requires a Class 1 license with about 1 year of experience; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and relocate to

Qualifications

• Class 1 license required.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with the Hinton/Jasper area is a plus.
• Must relocate to Hinton.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup freight in the Hinton and Jasper area in a timely manner.
• Operate GPS and communication devices.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Shift is Tuesday to Saturday; start time 5am.
• Home every night; typical 9–10 hour days.

• The driver is responsible for the timely delivery and pickup of freight within the Hinton and Jasper area
• Shift is Tuesday to Saturday
• Start time of 5am on weekdays and5 AM on Saturday
• Average working hours are 9 to 10hours a day.
• Some flexibility required to meet customers' requirements
• Pre and post-trip inspectionsof equipment
• Home every night
• Class 1 license
• 1 year of experience
• Reliable and dependable
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly at various customers.
• Operate GPS and communication devices
• Knowledge of the Hinton and Jasper area is an asset
• Ability to maneuver a 48ft tailgate trailer into tight areas in Jasper to complete deliveries
• Must be willingto relocate to Hinton
• Deck experience is an asset
• TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift experience are an asset
• Must be able to provide a criminal record check, driver's abstract,2 work-related references
