Position Summary

Operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Role involves adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensuring the timely delivery of cargo to its destination.

  • We are looking for talented, dedicated Class 1 Truck Drivers to join our fleet.
  • Regional/Local Deliveries.
  • 2-3 nights out (could vary).
  • Competitive pay per mile and hourly rate.

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Schedule: Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday

What you will do

  • Operate vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
  • Manage appropriate cargo documentation and provide necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
  • Maintain contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.

What You’ll Bring

  • Valid Class 1/AZ License is required.
  • Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events).
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable with smartphone technology.
  • Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors.
  • Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations.
  • Flat bed experience an asset.
  • Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada.
