Armour Transportation Systems in Truro, NS is seeking a professional, safety-focused Class 1 Highway Driver based out of Truro. This full-time role features a dedicated day run, operating a tractor-trailer on routes within Truro and to designated terminals before returning to Truro.

Drivers will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure on-time deliveries while upholding safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer experience.
• Clean driving record and criminal background check.
• Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Job Summary

Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a professional and safety-focused Class 1 Highway Driver based out of Truro, NS.

This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy consistent highway work and a predictable schedule. Drivers will operate a tractor-trailer on a dedicated day run, transporting freight within Truro and designated terminal location before returning to Truro.

What You'll Do

• Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer in a safe and professional manner.
• Complete scheduled linehaul runs between Truro and designated terminal locations.
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation documentation.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel and customers.

What You’ll Need

• Valid Class 1 driver's license.
