Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting a Class 1 Equipment Operator to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. maintenance team at Suncor Forthills near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This temporary role runs on a 7 days on/7 days off, day shift rotation with camp accommodations.

Responsibilities include safe operation of equipment, routine inspections, load securement, and coordination with spotters. Valid Class 1 license and multiple certificates are required, with a pre-access drug test and travel to site.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating equipment Front End Loader.
• Skid Steer certificate.
• Overhead Crane certificate.
• CSTS-09 or CSTS-20.
• Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection.
• Energy Safety Canada Confined Space.
• 3-Years Driver’s Abstract.
• Class 1 or Class 3 Drivers License.
• Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.

Responsibilities

• Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company and site policies and procedures.
• Operate Super B trailers and related equipment for hauling materials.
• Ensure proper load securement and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Perform pre-operational routine inspections of equipment.
• Communicate and review hand signals with spotter.
• Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment.
• Read and understand the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
• Properly maintain and service or has equipment serviced daily.

Jardeg is recruiting an Class 1Equipment Operator with proven experience operating several equipments to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. maintenance team at Suncor Forthills near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary position starting asap until October 28th, 2026 on a 7 days on 7 days off day shift rotation.

An Equipment Operator will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:
