Job description

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton and the surrounding area. We are currently looking to hire an experienced Class 1 Equipment Driver with End Dump Experience to join our Transportation Division to help with our large work volumes for the road construction season.

We offer a competitive wage (negotiated based on experience) with benefits.

The successful candidate's primary duties and requirements will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Completing pre-trip and preventative maintenance on your assigned vehicle.
  2. Continuously monitoring all fluid levels, vehicle operation and handling, and reporting any defects to your supervisor.
  3. Operating a tractor-trailer combo to load and transport heavy equipment from jobsite to jobsite.
  4. Adhering to the Motor Vehicle Transport Act 1987 Commercial Vehicle Driver’s Hours of Service Regulation.
  5. Completing accurate digital administrative documentation such as timesheets, safety forms, and log books.
  6. Loading and unloading mobile heavy equipment and ensuring proper load securement.
  7. Experience working with small hand tools is an asset.
  8. Able to work long hours Monday to Saturday, including overtime.
  • Possess a valid, clean Class 1 driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.
