Job summary

Cabico is seeking a Shunter – Class 1 Driver to join our Coaticook team in Canada. This on-site role requires moving trailers, shuttling between plants, logging driving hours, and performing truck safety inspections.

We offer 40 hours per week, four evening shifts, and a starting hourly wage around $22.62 CAD with a budgeted range of $24.67–$25.87 CAD. Join a family-oriented company that emphasizes respect, teamwork and pride in craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driver’s license.
• Excellent sense of priorities, organized and methodical.
• Proficiency in safe material handling methods.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle between plants when necessary (Shunter).
• Move trailers as needed.
• Maintain a driving log.
• Perform truck safety inspections.
• Load trucks according to proper work methods.
• Ensure that orders are complete in the trucks.
• Ensure the production line is cleared quickly to avoid slowing down production.
• Place furniture in the correct rows.
