As a Class 1 Driver (Pin to Pin) you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport and delivery of goods to and from our Langley and Calgary locations. This position requires adherence to strict safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies to ensure compliance and exceptional service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries, ensuring all necessary signatures and receipts are obtained to track shipments and verify deliveries.
  • Transport and deliver loads according to specified requirements and schedules, ensuring timely and safe delivery to designated locations.
  • Move and stage trailers as directed by the company, ensuring they are positioned efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of trucks, documenting any findings accurately to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition for operation.
  • Strap and unstrap trucks to secure loads safely, adhering to safety standards to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
  • Uphold all necessary certifications aligned with DOT (Department of Transportation), MOT (Ministry of Transportation), Health & Safety regulations, and company policies to ensure compliance and safe operations.
  • Operate cranes as required, adhering strictly to safety protocols to facilitate loading and unloading operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of delivery routes, logs, and incident reports to track movements and ensure accurate documentation of activities.
  • Verify product deliveries at customer locations, manage customer invoices, and provide exceptional customer service through direct communication, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Efficiently schedule and update delivery schedules to meet customer demands and optimize logistical operations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management, contributing to the overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Class 1 Driver's Licence is required.
  • Clean Drivers Abstract; B-train experience would be an asset.
  • Able to legally drive within both British Columbia and Alberta to complete deliveries.
  • Crane truck operating experience preferred.
  • Drive manual / automatic transmission.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Be willing to work overtime when required.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Must be willing to be cross trained.
