Job summary

Cabico is seeking a Shunter – Class 1 Driver to join our manufacturing team in Coaticook, Canada. The role requires moving trailers, loading trucks, and ensuring correct inventory placement to keep production flowing smoothly.

The successful candidate will hold a Class 1 license, be organized, physically capable, and able to work in an open, team-oriented environment with evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class 1 driver’s license.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in safe material handling methods.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Capable of working under pressure with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle between plants as needed (Shunter).
• Move trailers as needed.

• Ensure orders are complete in the trucks.
• Keep production line clear to avoid slowdowns.
• Place furniture in correct rows.

Daily, the successful candidate will

• Shuttle between plants when necessary (Shunter).
• Move trailers as needed.
• Maintain a driving log.
• Perform truck safety inspections.
• Load trucks according to proper work methods.
• Ensure that orders are complete in the trucks.
• Ensure the production line is cleared quickly to avoid slowing down production.
• Place furniture in the correct rows.

Specifically

• 40 hours/week over 4 evening shifts.
• Hourly wage starting at $22.62/hour.
• $2.00 evening shift premium.
