Fath Industries are looking for an experienced, and safety-conscious Class 1 Truck Driver to work seasonally in a full-time capacity with our Cold Milling Crews , in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values : Commitment, Attitude and Respect.

Responsibilities :

• Communicate with various Foreman, Superintendents and Coordinate various construction activities
• Drive a variety of trucks in a safe manner following transportation driving laws
• Must be able to perform necessary pre / post-trip inspections on vehicles and ensure regular greasing & washing of trucks & trailers
• Safely Operate different Milling equipment as required
• Assist with general laborer tasks as required
• Ensure safety compliance is adhered to at all times
• Attend and contribute to weekly safety meetings

Qualifications :

• Minimum 1-year experience driving commercial trucks or operating milling equipment is required.
• Must possess a valid class 1 driver’s license (with air endorsement) with clean drivers abstract.
• Minimum High School education or equivalent is required.
• Pre-Trip & Fatigue Management Experience training will be considered an asset.
• Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure is required.
• Ability to communicate in a respectful manner at all times is required.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions is required.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision is required.
• Familiarity & experience with city driving and surrounding areas is highly desirable.
• Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends is required.
• Valid safety certifications

Additional Information :

• This is a seasonal position.
• This position is eligible for over-time.
• Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required.
• Training will be provided for various activities.
• We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off-season).
• There is potential for on-call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season
• Seasonal work; Long hours; 6-7 days / week at peak season (Weekends as well)
