About Us

MC Peaskie Transportation Services Inc., is a trucking company focused on the transportation of aggregates within Alberta to supply the Western Canadian markets. Our facility is located approximately 12 km north of Redwater or a 45-minute drive from north Edmonton.

Wage Rate:$34.22/hour-36.30/hour

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate Super B trucks (side dump trailers) to transport aggregates such as sand and gravel to designated locations.
  • Short pit to pit hauling
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies regarding safe driving and cargo handling.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery schedules, and any incidents or mechanical issues.
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of aggregates, verifying the weight and type of materials.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, scale house operators, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the truck, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow route and time schedules to meet delivery deadlines efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Training

  • Class 1 Drivers’ License with a clean commercial drivers abstract.
  • Proven experience operating Super B trucks (side dump trailers) or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform minor maintenance tasks.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy materials and perform manual tasks as required.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
