Position: Class 1 Driver

Location: Lethbridge plant

The Class 1 Driver is responsible for loading and unloading SRM and Non-SRM, receiving hides, servicing Sunrise Poultry, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The role requires delivering exceptional customer service and acting professionally both on the road and at service locations.

Responsibilities:

• Service and switch trailers at Sunrise Poultry
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Load SRM and Non-SRM into conveyances
• Receive afternoon hide conveyances
• Perform plant shutdown and cleanup
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe environment
• Follow safety and cleanliness protocols
• Report vehicle or equipment issues promptly
• Follow safety protocols and customer requirements
• Work shift hours as needed, including overtime
• Adhere to company policies and foster a respectful team environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate:

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• 3+ years of commercial driving experience (asset)
• Familiarity with hydraulic equipment
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to interpret diagrams and manuals
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions
• Comfortable working in adverse conditions
