Overview

Sunbelt Rentals – the fastest growing rental business in Canada – is seeking a Class 1 Driver – You! As a Class 1 Driver, you will deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools, and supplies to and from customer worksites. This role will drive a flatbed or roll-back truck in urban, suburban, and rural settings. The ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and recover equipment, tools, and supplies to and from customer worksites.
• Operate a flatbed or roll-back truck in diverse conditions.
• Drive safely in tight work environments, including construction zones.
• Demonstrate proper usage of equipment to customers at the point of delivery.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver’s license with Class 1 Certification and acceptable driving record
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Prior training and/or experience with similar commercial equipment preferred
  • Experience with towing generators up to 20,000 lbs preferred
  • Ability to operate cranes (training provided to right candidates)
  • Experience driving crane trucks to various job sites (commercial, events, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment and vehicle at job sites
  • Customer service attitude
