Qualifications

Job Duties
  1. Load and offload products and waste as required
  2. Complete documentation accurately, including manifests, log books, and bills of lading
  3. Document dangerous goods in compliance with TDG
  4. Coordinate with dispatch for maintenance of vehicles and equipment
  5. Manage multiday routes across Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Labrador, New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario
  6. Complete daily schedules for waste oil pickup and transportation
  7. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Class 1 driver's license
  • Minimum 23 years old with experience operating semi-trucks with van trailers; experience with B-train, transport tank trailers, roll-off bins, and liquid handling (pumps) is an asset
  • Knowledge of TDG, WHMIS, and DOT Regulations
  • Ability to complete BOLs and Waste Movement documents in compliance with TDG Regulations
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including sitting, climbing, lifting, and pulling
  • Availability to work weekends, statutory holidays, and rotating shifts
  • Ability to complete multi-day trips in sleeper cabs
  • Must secure passage on federally regulated transportation (airlines, ferries)
  • Pre-employment and regular drug and alcohol testing required
