Position Summary

Responsible for transporting a variety of cargo on flatbed trailers while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and securing loads properly. Your role includes conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, managing delivery schedules, and operating the vehicle safely on various routes.

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Schedule: Monday to Saturday

Hours: 7 am to 3 pm (could vary)

What you will do
  • Ensure safe and timely delivery of loads
  • Secure loads with proper strapping, regardless of weather conditions
  • Report to dispatch at the start and end of each shift
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the delivery process
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement, and report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs
What You’ll Bring
  • Valid Class 1 license
  • 2 years of Class 1 driving experience
  • Flatbed experience is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Technologically adept and proficient in using mobile applications
  • Basic reading, communication, and arithmetic skills to follow directions
  • Willingness to learn Flatbed and Moffett
