As a Vendor Management Consultant, you will contribute to optimizing the organization’s relationships with external vendors and suppliers. This role requires strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and relationship management expertise to drive value, minimize risk, and ensure the delivery of high-quality goods and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor management and supplier performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify opportunities to reduce costs by analyzing data and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  2. Coordinate onboarding of new vendors, including due diligence and integration with internal systems and processes.
  3. Facilitate vendor offboarding as needed, ensuring smooth transitions and contractual compliance.
  4. Continuously evaluate and improve vendor management processes, tools, and systems for efficiency and transparency.
  5. Recommend and implement best practices, automation tools, and process improvements to streamline workflows.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and serve as the primary contact for inquiries, issues, and escalations. Collaborate internally and externally to address performance issues, resolve disputes, and foster continuous improvement.
  7. Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate vendor performance and compliance. Monitor vendor quality and service levels through regular reviews and audits.
  8. Identify and evaluate potential vendors based on business needs, quality, and cost considerations.
