Job description

Our client, an international independent adjusting firm, is seeking a Claims Supervisor to oversee a high-performing team of adjusters within their commercial lines division. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates across Canada, with flexible working hours and occasional in-person collaboration if needed. The successful candidate will step into a leadership role in one of the country’s largest commercial claims teams, with a strong focus on casualty and liability files.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 12–14 adjusters, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Ensure the team meets performance targets, including time capture and file health KPIs.
  • Oversee claims handling in casualty-focused, multi-line environments (e.g., product liability, third-party property damage, professional liability).
  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain client satisfaction and data accuracy.
  • Manage quality assurance, coaching, and file review without holding your own caseload.
  • Support strategy implementation and maintain team performance and development.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in claims adjusting, with 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Solid understanding of multi-line commercial claims.
  • Must be licensed in all Canadian provinces (Quebec licensing is not required).
  • CIP designation preferred; progress toward designation also accepted.
  • Background in managing adjusters in a high-volume, client-sensitive environment.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
