This position involves handling basic claims related to accident benefits. The role can be based in any of the following Ontario locations: Ajax, London, Mississauga, Ottawa, Richmond Hill, or Toronto (700 University Ave).

Responsibilities
  • Analyze insurance policy wording to determine coverage and entitlements.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims.
  • Conduct investigations and gather additional information such as medical or employment history.
  • Collect reports and statements to determine liability and coverage.
  • Document cases clearly and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Assist junior staff and escalate complex issues to senior staff or management.
Qualifications
  • University degree or relevant training and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Accident Benefits claims Adjuster.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of provincial auto insurance legislation.
  • Pursuing CIP designation is an asset.
