As the Claims Representative II, Special Lines, you will investigate, negotiate, and settle commercial and farm claims. You will contribute to our client service culture through professional interactions and innovative, client-centric solutions.

How you will create impact :

  • Maintain commercial and farm claims files, including comprehensive evaluations to determine coverage and effective negotiation and settlement of each claim.
  • Collaborate with Investigative Services to complete complex investigations.
  • Communicate with clients, deliver clear messages, keep them informed, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure efficient, timely, and quality claim settlements.
  • Support team development through coaching, sharing claims handling knowledge, acting as a technical resource, and guiding new staff.
  • Provide exceptional client service aligned with claims standards, aiming to position the organization as an industry leader in client engagement.

To join our team :

  • Have at least three years of experience in insurance claims or related fields.
  • Have completed post-secondary education in insurance, risk management, or a related discipline.
  • Are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • Possess or are working towards Provincial Adjuster Licenses.
  • Have experience in a contact center and solid knowledge of client service principles, insurance policies, coverages, and provincial regulations.

  • This role involves occasional travel.
  • It operates in a contact center environment requiring high audio and visual concentration for extended periods.
  • It involves direct contact with clients and service providers in their environments.
  • You may support clients experiencing personal or financial loss, requiring confidentiality and discretion.
  • Rotational on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Extended hours during peak periods and major events.
  • Background checks (Criminal Record and Consumer History) are required for successful candidates.
