We’re looking for a Claims Representative I, Accident Benefits, to join our growing teams in Toronto, Ottawa, and London!

About the role

As a Claims Representative I, you will assist customers with minor injuries from motor vehicle accidents, ensuring a seamless customer journey. We provide an accelerated training program to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge of accident benefits, building your confidence and expertise in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Investigating and adjudicating medical claims promptly and thoroughly.
  2. Determining eligibility and entitlement to benefits to promote treatment and recovery.
  3. Managing claims in compliance with provincial regulations, guidelines, and company protocols.
  4. Responding to queries from customers, legal representatives, and medical clinics with high-quality customer service.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare-related roles.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate multiple software programs.
  • Capacity to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ongoing commitment to self-development.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
  • Degree or diploma in Health Sciences (Kinesiology, Psychology, etc.) is an asset.
  • Eligible to work in Canada; Canadian work experience not required.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) is an asset.
