Job description

We are seeking an energetic Claims Coordinator to join our client on a permanent basis. This position will involve assisting clients who have been displaced from their homes. The successful candidate will be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision, work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and will be able to show sensitivity and professionalism to their customers. This position is starting right away for the right person – don’t wait to apply!

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Address customer claims, gather requirements, inputting information to the system, follow up on claims and required information.
  • Managing incoming calls.
  • Effectively communicate (both written and spoken).
  • Support customers in understanding the services and processes within an insurance claim and by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assist in selecting suitable services that meet our clients’ requirements.
  • Prepare leases, contracts, payment authorization and other paperwork as required.
  • Liaise between policyholders, property managers and insurance adjusters.
  • Respond quickly to changing requirements.
  • Treat customers with empathy and professionalism, answering their questions and explaining the process.
  • Provide monthly statements such as outstanding payments from clients.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Skilled conflict management, service focused and solution-driven mindset.
  • Experience in a service-based industry such as hospitality, real-estate or travel & tourism would be considered an asset.
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma is considered an asset but not required.
  • Desire to solve problems, help others, and work with urgency on multiple priorities.
