Our Long-Haul Trucking Claims team is looking for someone to jump in and make an impact. This role offers the chance to play a crucial role in ensuring prompt and fair settlements for physical damage and cargo claims across Canada and the US.

Responsibilities
  • Dive into both routine and complex claims, analyzing insurance policies to determine coverage and assess fair entitlements.
  • Engage in timely and respectful communication with customers, brokers, claimants, lawyers, and other insurers to effectively resolve claims.
  • Spearhead investigations and settlements of cargo and environmental losses, while managing cases that span across Canada and the US.
  • Collaborate with our Bodily Injury team on significant losses to mitigate exposure and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
What You Bring To The Table
  • University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
  • CIP designation achieved or on the way
  • At least 2 years of experience adjusting commercial auto claims; Long Haul Trucking experience is an asset
  • Expertise in handling moderate to complex claims and practicing effective negotiation
  • Strong analytical skills paired with decision-making prowess and excellent time management
  • Knowledge of provincial legislation governing auto insurance; Atlantic Provincial Licenses are advantageous
  • A warm, positive attitude complemented by top-notch customer service skills
  • Atlantic Provincial Licenses an asset, must be willing to secure Atlantic provincial licenses
